With an opening from Bruce Springsteen a whole array of Hollywood stars wore their hearts on their sleeves, and in doing so
raised over 260 million dollars for relief funds, at the same time making TV history. All the production and distribution
costs were covered by major companies, all the stars gave their time freely, so every penny raised goes to the charity.
